UTM Parameters for Solo Ads

Use consistent UTM campaign tags to identify solo-ad sources inside your analytics.

UTM parameters are labels added to a destination URL so analytics tools can group visits by source, medium and campaign.

A simple convention

For example, use a stable source label for the provider or seller, a medium such as solo_ad, and a campaign name that identifies the test. The exact naming matters less than consistency.

Don't put sensitive data in URLs

UTM values may appear in analytics, browser history and shared links. Keep them descriptive and non-sensitive.

Document your naming rules

A small campaign log prevents later confusion when multiple sellers, landing pages or offers are being tested.
